Scan to Email — Error Code Overview

I need help setting up

General technical requirements

  • The printer must be connected to a network
  • An SMTP mail server must be available
  • If the mail server is not on the local network, a gateway must
    be .
  • If the host names of the servers are used instead of the IP addresses,
    a DNS server must be defined

An error occurs during scanning. What error code is displayed?

error code 1101

SMTP/POP3 Server does not exist in the network

  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server name or IP address
  • Check the network settings on the device
  • Check the network to which the device is connected (DNS server, routing, etc.)

error code 1102

Login to SMTP/POP3 server fails

  • Check the login name and password
  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server

error code 1104

The domain is not accessible due to settings and locks

  • Check the SMTP parameters on the device

error code 1105

SMTP protocol is not enabled

  • Check the SMTP protocol settings on the device

error code 1106

The sender address is not entered on the device

  • Enter the sender address on the device, check the SMTP settings

error code 2101

Connection to SMTP/POP3 server fails

  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server name
  • Check if the network cable is plugged in correctly
  • Check the SMTP/POP3 port number
  • Check the network settings of the device
  • Check the network settings of the network in which the device is integrated
  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server

error code 2102

Connection to the SMTP/POP3 server fails due to a timeout.

  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server name
  • Check the SMTP/POP3 port number
  • Check the network settings of the device

  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server

error code 2201

Connection to SMTP/POP3 server fails

  • Check the network settings of the device

error code 2202

Connection to the SMTP/POP3 server fails due to a timeout.

error code 2204

Connection to the SMTP/POP3 server fails due to a timeout.

error code 3101

The SMTP/POP3 server responds incorrectly

  • Check the network settings on the device
  • Check the network in which the device is connected
  • Check the SMTP/POP3 server
  • Check the entered sender address and the mail account, they must belong together

error code 3201

No SMTP authentication found

  • Check the SMTP server

The device supports the following SMTP authentications: CRAM-MD5, DIGEST-MD5, PLAIN and LOGIN.

error code 4803

Error creating an SSL connection

  • Check the certificates on the device
  • Check the server certificates of the SMTP/POP3 server
  • Check the SMTP/POP3 configuration of the device and the SMTP/POP3 server
