Download the driver
The printer driver for MacOS can be downloaded from the KYOCERA Document Solutions website .
Alternatively, the driver can also be downloaded from the Global DownloadCenter .
Unpack drivers
After the zip file has been unpacked, you will receive a new file (DMG file), which must be executed by double-clicking.
You can then start the driver installation by double-clicking on the PKG file.
Starting the driver installation
Please note that this will only copy the necessary files to the Apple computer.
Please read the important information provided and then click “Continue”.
Read the license terms and then click “Accept”.
Enter your system user password and click “Install software”.
After entering the system user password, the driver data can be started.
To do this, click on “Install”.
After the driver data has been successfully copied, the installation can be completed.
Add a printer to the system
To add a new printer , please go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners . Click on “Add printer, scanner or fax”.
Fill in the following points:
Address
Protocol
Name
Please use the IP address of your printer as the address , which you can find on the machine’s status page.
Please select “Line Printer Daemon – LPD” as the protocol .
For the name, select a device name that is unique to you and then press “Add” to add the printer.
Add printer as “Bonjour Multifunction” device
To add a new printer , please go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners . Click on “Add printer, scanner or fax”.
Select “Printers & Scanners”.
The network is scanned and all printers and scanners on the network are displayed.
Select your device from the list and add it to the system using “Add”.
Please note that this method does not use the Kyocera driver.
With this method, the printer/scanner is added as an “AirPrint” device.
If it is a multifunction printer, a scanner is also created. However, this is not part of the Kyocera printer driver. This is a function of the operating system.
